View Full Version : Scrubs
I'm wondering how many sets of scrubs I should buy... Will we have lab everyday during first semester?

I think it depends on how many people coming versus how many cadavers you have on hand whether you will be required to come in every day (though to review you WILL be in every day).
You probably only need 2 or 3 pairs. A lot of people just had one.

I used 1 pair and burned them at the end.

I forgot about them in the closet until I was moving out after 5th semester. I used tongs and leather gloves to remove them.
How did you all survive with one pair? How often did you wash them? I'm worried because I don't have access to a washer/dryer that easily and I don't want to be burdened with having to wash them in the middle of the week.
So basically, I will have to wear scrubs everyday?

Whoa! We had to WASH them?!!!!! :D:D
Don't worry on it, just make sure you can keep it in a corner AWAY from your other clothes and food, and it'll be fine.

Hahahaha... "Tongs and rubber gloves"
Seriously the smell that gets MOLECULARLY BONDED to them and your skin, is not something easily washed off. If your not a dive in crazy you can get by on 2 sets. Just be mindful of pressing your waist on the table where the juices can get to them. Elbows are also easily soiled on lab coat.
My rule was when the TA's avoided you and fellow classmates always moved to the opposite side of the table, maybe time to wash um :)

I bet if you showed it a buscuit and threw it out the door, that it would have left that way.
Wandering the grounds like all the other feral animals.

Well, I got rid of it before it developed language skills.

Yeah I think Dr. F said only "pristine" white scrubs are to be worn in lab. White shoes too with white socks. If your out of uniform/scrubs he will make you hold his hand while he performs the pro-section. :))

and don't forget to do a 5 minute scrub. Always rinse from fingertips to elbow and don't contaminate yourself in the process. You'll have to do it all over again.
