first of all you should a search for this before just simply asking... we like to make people work for their answers here at ValueMD.
There are about 7 applicants for every seat. This is straight from the Chancellors mouth.

I saw that also. The question is is that the statistic just for the med school or for all programs? B/c you can get rejected from the Med School, but be accepted into the MPH program and then do the Med program, or get accepted into the pre-med program and then get to go to the Med School etc etc. So do they really take 1 in 5 applicants in the end? (I made that number up!)

I don't know, I would expect the average post on the SGU website are of those that got accepted straight into the SOM program. and that the 7 applicants for every seat is also for the SOM program because not too many people apply directly into the MPH program or the pre-med program those are given as options to those with low stats that applied to SGU.

If you do get rejected and you can some times call and find out why and what you need to do to make yourself more competitive...A SGU counselor can tell you what they are looking for.
