So, what's the deal with the electricity? Do I need to get converters/adapters for 230V or do most apartments have standard US 120V? Also, have there been many instances of people getting their electronics fried?? Do tell... thanks!

This topic has been covered adnosium. Some apartments have 110, some apartments have 220, some apartments have both. DO NOT bring a converter/adapter with you. You need a transformer that is very heavy making it difficult to pack with the weight limits. Wait until you get here and buy one from a departing 4th semester of from James Store.

A decent number of appliances we purchase are dual voltage, it does not hurt to check on the tranformer to see if this is the case.
