I heard if you fail the exam, you dont have to take the whole class again, you just be 30 dollars end of story.....

its $75 US first time retake and the exam is considered 100% of your mark.
if you fail again, you retake the course and $1000 to write the final and take the course.
30 dollars and end of story...i dont think so.
moral = dont fail.

You can overload and finish basic science in three semesters, is that right...

where do you get your information from ?
do you even go to windsor ?
ecfmg/nbme/abcd/efgh/ all of them require you to have 2 years of basic sciences, so why would you think that you can finish basic sciences in 3 semesters?
sheikh1, stay out of windsor forums

You can call me what ever you want, but I have the right to ask questions buddy. I had friends who transfered in to Windsor and finished a semester earlier...after overloading....I know you are a newbie but you need to chill....;)

well if your so-called "friends" transferred to windsor and finished a semester earlier, why the reason to ask?
don't tell me to chill "buddy".

I know you need four semesters in St Kitts and one semestser in USA. So if you overload one semester you can be done with the Island in three semester and finish the last one in Illinoi.......

I am not a newbie, son. I'm probably old enough to be your father. Im also studying for the Step 1 sheikh1. I've completed MD5 in Carbondale, IL. You do not know more than me about MY school. You have absolutely no interest in attending Windsor University, and yet you spam the Windsor Forums with your ridiculous comments. Is this what your MUA teaches you?? I suggest you stick to your studies boy. I bet if you spent half the time studying than posting on here, (3300 posts..wow) you would get a 99 for sure on step1.

I think you are very angry person, I know the pressure of USMLE. I know a friend of mine who just passed barely with 186, he told me they had questions on behav...psyc, statistic which is epi, neuro, and lots of x-rays, very few anatomy and physio.....Good Luck!!!

What was the answer to your question, I am considering applying and this is important information to me.
Thanks!
lol...how is that an important question??
How about trying to go for the highest mark you can...
If the min. passing mark was 50% (for the sake of argument), would that number make it easier? Its about the materials and your ability to understand and apply it during the test....whatever the lowest passing mark is means bubkus at the end of the day.

The passing grade for the minis is 64 and up
For the final exams, depends on how you did on the minis, it's also a 64. If you pass the final, you pass the class.
But attendance counts a lot here as well. Your 60 and below may as well turn into a 64 if you are a regular face in class. Word!
By the way, here, what was taught in class is what you will see on your exams. I can say that for MD3 and 4. No short cut and no hidden surprises on the exams. Either you know it or you don't. The profs don't make up questions that they can't even explain. It's straight from the books and the USMLE prep classes.
Good luck!

MDXRS22 is right on the mark;) what I want to address is school spirit...I hope in ten or so years I run into someone from a school in the Carribean be it Windsor U or not so we can shoot the s___ about the obstacles we over came to receive our certifications and ability to practice. you know like the hot humid days spent at the beaches or swigging down a few Caribs - those hardships. I have a degree from Colorado State University and I still make fun of Uni. of Nebraska....the N on their helmets stand for knowledge...that sort of stuff or BYU..how do you keep a mormon from drinking all of your beer? take two mormons with you (they'll tell on each other). there are jokes like that for all of the completing schools and when you see an alumn of a rival the banter begins...all in jest though, never personal and never with intent to injure (by the way did you know the U of Wyoming's colors are piss yellow and poop brown (can I say those words? Wyoming, BYU and Nebraska i mean). for those of you not at Windsor forgive our defensiveness. those of us attending this school feel we have a decent program and get a little on edge about what we feel is a constant barrage of criticism (right or wrong-not defending just explaining).
I would like to think that even if some one attended a different CMS that we would have some sort of bond...just a thought.
as far as finishing the semesters early it all depends on the classes that were taken before transferring. correct me if i am wrong but at MUA the anatomy is one semester were as at Windsor it is split with Head, Neck, Abd and pelvis in one semester and the extremities and thorax in another, so if you passed the anatomy section at MUA i don't think you retake at Windsor...there might be some other examples like that when a student transfers who is further along in their didactics. sorry for not giving more info on this subject but my "Nowledge" is limited. gotta go, would like to address this subject a little more but as i am a search and peck kinda guy and have a neuroanatomy test tommorrow - who was Broca and why did he have to have an area anyways- i'll finish boring ya'll:D
