Hello,
it is one of the best national universities. Ministry of Education lists it among top 5 Russian unis. The University was specially created to train international students. Nowadays they make about 20% from the students total number.
The university has very good and compact campus. You would spend just 10-15 when going to your class and back (unlikely to MMA where students may pay 1 hour for their one-way trip). Faculty of Medicine offers MD program in both English and Russian. This year there are 3 students from Malaysia at their 1st year English medium program. Others are represented by citisens of India, Sri-Lanca, Mauritius, Kenya, Nigeria, Maldives, South Africa, USA.
Good Luck

If you are Malaysian + if you want to study medicine course in Russia.
I advice you only go to the university/ academy recognized by Malaysian Medical Council.
5 universities/ academies are included in the list.
Nizhny Novgorod State Medical Academy
Moscow Medical Academy
Russian State Medical University
Volgograd State Medical University
Kursk Medical University.

Mikhail: if you can, please tell us more about that 2 boys.
I'm from Malaysia. This is the information i got from Malaysian Medical Council. About that 2 boys, i never heard about it. Unless they sit for malaysian qualification exam, or else i think they can't do their internship (we called housemenship) in government hospital.
I study in Nizhny Novgorod SMA.
Just my advice, if you come from Malaysia, choose something which is more secure, right? No need to waste time to bring to court. No need to sit for extra exam.

Im form the 1st year english medium group of PFU
there are 3 malayasians studying here, but the university is still not aceepted in malayasia, but the father of the 2 boys studying here is trying to make the malayasian health ministry recognise PFU

actauuly, the time saving factor which michail has written is true, but still we have to travel 3 days per week for 1 hour for physics, mathematics and chemistry......

Ragul1987, you are brave.
So far, the government not yet recognize PFUR. Recognition is a question mark.

To all Malaysian who wish to study in Russia and work in Malaysia after graduate: Better you choose 1 of the 5 of the recognized university. But if you persist in studying in a non-recognised medical school and you wish to practise medicine locally after graduating, then you just have to sit for the unscheduled university examination.
For more details:
MMC Registration » Malaysian Medical Resources (http://medicine.com.my/wp/?page_id=38)

Tell you the truth: i stayed in Russia >4years, i don't know which univerisity is best place to study medicine in Russia. But, plan for future is important

Boys from St Petersburg: I am sorry, that was all the information I have. I will try to get some more.

As to the advise where to go: I would not like to make any advise, I offer information. It is after the applicant to make a decision. He is only the person who knows all the details concerning his situation. Also, if the advise works, why students from the USA and the UK do their study abroad?!

In terms of full MD program in English, in Moscow it is offered by MMA. I guess a transfer from PFU is very possible. However, a student is expected to have good grades during his study at PFU, not the grades these three students got during first semester exams.
