haven't rotated there but know the hospital very well. AMAZING place. Highly regarded residencies in almost every specialty. One thing, according to their student coordinator you can only do electives there and you must be a fourth-year student, i.e. finished you cores, to do them.

Yeah this is correct. I visited the hospital (I live in NC) and she told me the same. Also told me that 8 weeks was the maximum per year. Very nice looking hospital though. I wouldn't mind doing surgery residency there...
Electives offered are:
EM
ID
Med Sub-I
Med Critical Care
FP elective
OB/GYN elective
Psych elective
Nephro
General Surg elective
Surg Sub-I
Surg Critical Care
Trauma Surg
All are 4 week except for ID which can be 2 or 4.
If anyone has any questions feel free to holla...

Just did a surgery elective here. I really enjoyed it. Everyone including the residents were very friendly. Most other students are from UVa. We have to be 4th year in order to do any rotations here, and there is an application process.

Probably at least a couple months. First email the secretary in the med ed dept and tell her what you are interested in. Then she will give you the dates that are available.

Has anyone done any of the following electives (PM&R, neonatology, and Family) at this site? Just looking for information about this program. Thanks.

Has anyone recently did electives here?
It says MD and DO?
When I check ACGME website, they all seem to be MD residency.
