1. I wouldnt mind going to an Aussie school. However, a lot of people say that it is not formatted for the US, unlike the Carrib, which is.
2. Not sure. It probably isnt cheap. Try a search! I know of seen something regarding this.
3. I think so. The student visa gives you a set amount of hours you can work. Better look into the nearest consulate/embassy.

Some answers that might be helpful.
1. Degree is well recognised in UK/US.
2. $400 rough guide per week.
3. Once you qualify, jobs very easy to get (shortage of Drs in Australia).
Not sure of salary for starter - prob $60K or so.
Note all places for overseas students are private and expensive eg. $30-40K p.a.
Also you MUST meet minimum high English standard requirements to study. This is assessed before you get your visa.

First question Karim do you have an undergraduate degree? If not, you can't apply to Australian graduate medicine courses. An unfinished undergrad medical degree is not a complete degree for grad school purposes.
For overseas students in Australia you can provide either MCAT or GAMSAT scores - standard seems roughly the same I think ie. need to be at least top 20-25 percentile for interview which is about 63 on GAMSAT and over 30 on MCAT. You must pass all sections in the test you choose or you are disqualified regardless of score. Also you must meet a GPA hurdle from your first undergraduate degree (if you don't have one, you can't apply to grad entry programs). The schools will calculate your GPA from your results as the Australian marking system is completely different to US/Canada, not sure about Egypt. More like UK system ie. noone gets really high marks, well hardly anyone, most people just pass 50% or so. You cannot calculate your GPA yourself, the uni will do it for you if you apply after sitting MCAT/GAMSAT.
If you sit GAMSAT/MCAT and are successful, you can only be placed in year 1 of the 4 year graduate program. If you check any of the school websites, they are specific about noone entering the program halfway through.
You would enter Australia on a study visa - this is extremely difficult to convert to permanet residency, and the school may kick you out if you become one during the course.
Also, check the English standard requirements for student visas - they are being tightened up considerably and there's some standardised test apparently that I think you need level 2 for (level 1 is high native speaker). You sit this test in your home country before you get a visa and organise it through the consulate.
People say if you want to stay in Australia after your degree, you are far better off trying to get PR first, then studying as a local student (much cheaper too), but PR is not easy.
Finally, you need a good and genuine reason to be coming to Australia to get through the interview - if there's a hint you're using it as a backdoor to permanent residency, forget it. Think about this carefully before you start spending money on investigating it all, and talk to the universities perhaps.
Good luck!:D

Are Australian/NZ schools a good option for a NZ citizen living in the US? What are the entry criteria out of High SChool. Also the colleges down under start in Jan - is there a 6 month gap between US and NZ..

What if you wrote your MCAT (which is good for two years), obtain your PR before applying, then apply with you MCAT - is it still looked at? or do you have to write your GMAT because now you're a PR?

Why you ask such vague questions, if you study something health science related, Nursing, Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, etc, it will not be hard to find work. If you study Engineering or Business, forget it, you will not find work in Australia. Only Mining Engineering students find work here.
If all you want to do is make money study Dentistry or Pharmacy, almost all Dentist and Pharmacists earn over 100K a year in Australia.
Migrating to Australia is based on a point system, they are in dire of need of health care workers and most health professions get an extra 15 points for PR. It is extremely easy for Nursing students to get PR status. A few years ago, computer people got in easy, I applied for PR in 2003 with an IT degree and got PR within 6 months.
