is saint lucia safe?

anyone know from experience about the safety on Saint Lucia...

I was speaking with someone who lived there for 2 years and she said that as a white person she was harassed and was robbed many times.



Can anyone shed some light?

not quite true. Actually, most st lucians are very friendly towards you even if you're white. Of course, there is some crime, but as long as you dont get involved into their own local businesses, then you should have no problem!

I agree with Lithdoc...I stayed in St Lucia for about 16 months and I found the St Lucian very friendly indeed. They mind their own business as long as you do yours...Have a safe stay!

I agree as well. It is pretty much safe here.... much like back in the states there is crime (that is true of anywhere in the world). But so long as you lock your doors and don't run around flashing hundres .... you should be fine. Simple rule to live by (which by the way is the same one you should live by nomatter where you live) is use your head.
