SUSM's website now has a link to a "SABA and MUA discussion group" hosted in the MSN web community. The introduction reads as follows:

Welcome!

This site is where MUA and SABA students can post experiences and trade ‘war stories’ from their clinical rotations. Basic science students still on the islands can get a glimpse of life ‘on the other side’. Let’s help each other learn, progress and get the best residencies we can!

Vijay Aswani -- moderator

You can reach the site directly at:

Hopefully, it will become another outstanding resource at our disposal... but, currently it needs some traffic.

don't you remember the last forum run by the saba admin? it was used as a propaganda/advertisement tool and they only allowed positive things to be posted about the school. so you can go there if you want to read some school censored ads, or you can stay here and read the balanced truth. to prove my point, here is what they list in their posting rules:

"2. Keep your messags positive. I accept that life is not always positive and bad things happen. However, we do want to keep the purpose of this forum to encourage, teach and share experiences that will contribute positively to our lives. "

That's true, it's not much of a forum if you're encouraged not to put down negative aspects of your life on Saba or MUA. I mean, it's much better for the soul if students can share their true opinions. Perhaps i will drop by and check out this new forum, but i am currently more than happy with ValueMD.

I am still new to this place. Just curious, who runs this forum anyway? who assigns the moderator positions?
