Hello,

I will be taking Step 3 in eight weeks. I have started doing USMLEWORLD questions. Can anyone tell me how similar USMLEWORLD questions are to the actual test? Are the USMLEWORLD questions about the same difficulty as the actual Step 3 exam. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,
I used UW question, it is pretty hard and long questions.
The real board exam is harder to me, the question written very clear and shorter than UW, however, it is very difficult to choose the ans. Always has the "narrow down to 2 ans", however, if you do well on UW about 50-60, you'll doing fine
I recommend the NBME test that you have to pay 45 dollar, that the closet test to a real exam, wait until 2-3 weeks before your exam to take this test, you can find it on NBME website. THe score is pretty close to real exam, I got 430 on the practice test (NBME) and got 85 on my real exam. Good luck

I've been working the USMLEWorld questions as of late. What strikes me the most is that I'm running out of time on a lot of the blocks or simply being forced to rush to the finish line. This was not really an issue for me on Step 2 (World nor the actual exam). The problem is the blocks are 2 questions longer (48 instead of 46) and the passages can be extremely long in some cases.

Can anyone give any advice or tips on what they did? I've always hated trying to read the end of a passage first, but perhaps that's what has to be done for Step 3?

Does the NBME exam include practice CCS questions or just multiple choice? Thanks.

Edit: Could you please post a link to where I can take the NBME self assessment (NBME.com only has Step 1 and 2). I did it for Step 2 but can't remember where.
