I have a family situation going on right now. And I was forced to leave SGU prior to taking my last final. I will only be able to head back to SGU a week after the makeup exams are given, and I was wondering has anyone ever started a subsequent term without taking the makeup final beforehand? (I will take the makeup final in August after term 2 and 3 are over)
Thanks for your help

I really don't know. Maybe someone else does but your best bet is to speak to the school and get the official word from them.
Maybe they did let someone do that in the past and it'd be good news for you but maybe their circumstances were different or they just felt like being nice at the time or the sun and the moon and the stars in Orion's belt just happened to be aligned perfectly at the moment of the decision being made.

I know there are set dates that makeup exams are administered, it is not really when it is convenient for the student as they need a proctor etc. etc. as well as a different make-up exam. Certainly I know of a few students who took a makeup for a previous term after they had completed the next one. I know someone who took biochem final again after they finished third term and a few students who went to Vinnies and then came back to Grenada to take term 3.

All of the students I know who returned to Grenada (a grand total of 2; so not many) to take 3rd term classes after St. Vincent had to repeat said classes and then take the exam. They didn't just do a makeup.
Actually, that may not be true because I didn't inquire as to the details. Maybe they were attending lecture on their own as a refresher and they didn't have to.

I just took a make-up exam and it was physically impossible for the school to register me for the following term until they got an e-mail from the department saying that I passed the exam. I don't know about whether the school will allow for it or not, but I do know that the computer system won't allow it. Your registration voucher likely has a note on it that says do not register (look at the last class on the voucher). I'd talk to the Dean's office if I were you.

can you take the exam in bayshore- sometimes they administer make up exams there, but generally they are 6th term exams.
I know a lot of exceptions were made during and after Ivan, but I think that route has been exhausted.

no you have to take term 1 makeups in grenada. i have no problem with that. its just that i will be back 1 week later than the official makeup, so they said that i will have to take it in august. but im just worried because i hope they allow me to enroll in terms 2 and 3 until then. do you think they will?

Why don't you just call the school and find out? imho i would think that you would have to finish 1st term before they would let you take 2nd. So you would have to take all the make ups before they would let you move on.
