Hello SGU:
I would like to do two to three 4th year electives (towards the end of my 4th year) at a hospital close to London. A couple of questions about them:
1. Which hospitals are in or closest to London? (within 1-2 hours)
2. Out of these hospitals close to London, which one offer electives? On the SGU website, most of them are listed at CORE or psychiatry hospital but does not mention which hospitals offer which specific elective.
If someone has infomration about this, please drop me a line.

For 4th years, the hospitals available for electives are not in London. The one closest to London is about hour and half away by train, which is not bad.

I have yet to figure out the fascination with london. I did my rotations 4 hours south of london and would have it no other way. There is much to do in England that is not in london. See london on the weekends.

I think 4 hours south of london would be Poole General Hospital and yes it is about 4 hours from london. If you went from central london then you could get to paris in under 4 hours, less if you fly (providing you don't have to go through security which takes about 2-3 hours!!). It takes 8 hours to get to the borders of scotland. Ironically, Grenada is only about 20miles long, but it still takes some time getting from one end to the other;)

Correct on every front. Sorry 4 hours by train/coach. Maybe a little less by car.
