General question

Say you take the USMLE Step 1 for the first time and you pass, but with a score that you are not happy about. Are we allowed to take it again... or are we stuck with that score? And if I am interested in a very competitive residency would the fact that i took it twice look bad?

you have to wait 7 years to take it again, so its better to do your best when you take it.

Also There are some states or hospitals that nobody wants yo go there you can try there.
