Hey guys this is urgent and I need it today so pls any help will be greatfull. Thx
1) Calculate the % yield (based on moles) of crude aspirin.
Info I got for 1st ques: Mr of salicylic acid = 138
Mr of asprin = 180
we had 5g of sailicylic acid to start with, and I got 5.46g of crude asprin at the end.
I got 83.7 % yield but I am not sure can someone pls check the answer to this.
2) commerical asprin has a distinct odour. Suggest what this odour is and why it occurs?? (tried google got loads of different asnwer don't know which is right)
