Which is a caribbean paradise. AGU is in Belmopan (shootings and crime gallore) Which is why all the AGU students take weekend trips to san pedro. Look at the advertisements. MUA is up front AGU shows fake photos.

What are you talking about? None of the photos on the MUAB website are of MUAB - except maybe the tops of the palm trees. None of those people are at MUAB. In fact, they even have one person listed as a faculty member who is actually teaching at AGU! No crime in san pedro? Check out the ambergris today newspaper.

I just looked at this week's Ambergris Today. There was a story about someone who had snatched a few necklaces off of someone's neck. If that is noteworthy enough to warrant a big story...well, I like it.
Seriously, San Pedro is a very safe place. Not crime free...but I felt safe being out at night, which is more than I can say for where I live now (Annapolis, MD).
I don't know about the photos on the MUA website, but I have some brochures, and someone from the school (I guess I can't use proper names) told me where each photo came from--including the one on the operating table. They then showed me video of the procedure where it was taken from.
Anyway, I like San Pedro and I think MUA is fine. To each their own. (Two days ago I went fishing for Baracuda, and I have one hell of a sunburn, so please be warned that I won't even notice if you start flaming me).

I hope you are enjoying your vacation. And I certainly agree that San Pedro is a great place for a vacation. Lots of fishing, snorkeling, diving. So is the mainland. Lots of jungles and Maya ruins.
But for a medical education, one should look at the quality of instruction, the background of the instructors (how many are trained and experienced in US academic medicine?), do all courses that need labs furnish appropriate lab equipment and instruction (anatomy, histology, micro, & path (microscopic & gross) at a minimum), are the lab facilities up to date and clean, is there a good sized library with all the necessary books and journal subscriptions, do the faculty spend their time at the school or do they just teach their class then run home, is the school financially stable. When you consider these things, I think there are a lot of better choices than in San Pedro.
I don't flame. I simply tell the truth. I hate to see people waste their time and money.

For what it's worth, I lived in Belmopan for a year (8/03 - 8/04). I was never afraid to be out at night (or any other time), whether I was walking, riding a bike, or in a car. You must be thinking of Belize City.
