I spoke with one of the admissions counselors at Ross, they said you need one academic and one professional reccomendation. Is the professional recommendation supposed to come from a former boss or someone in a profession like a doctor, lawyer, etc.?

The Academic letter...does it have to be from a prof from a pre-med class or can it be any prof you have taken a class or classes with?

I don't think it has to be from a pre-med prof, but it would probably be better than a history prof. I sent one from a science professor and one from a non-science professor. That was sufficient in my case. Best advice, if you want to be certain, is to call the school and ask.

When i sent my letters they told me the prof letter was pretty much a formality and could be from anyone no matter the discipline. Mine was from an American studies prof and I was accepted for May 07. I think they are just wanting to look like they have the same admission process and standards as US schools but are not nearly as picky.
