View Full Version : Windsor Students I want to hear from you

What are the pros and cons of this institution? My main focus is on academic. Do you feel you are getting a decent education at the school? I could care less if you are upset because you’re not staying in a 5 star dorm, or the classrooms look like a hut on Gillian’s Island. What is the quality of the education? Do you fill you could pass the USMLE with the knowledge you are obtaining from the school.

The answer is yes and no. Yea, you will cover everything you need to know for the USMLE in basic sciences. But, it's up to you to put in the extra hours of study for the boards. Most schools out here are the same in that aspect. No one is ever completely ready for the boards by just completing the basic sciences. You have to put in the extra effort. I put in 10 – 20 hours a week studying for the boards. This is on top of my time that I spend studying for my regular classes.

Some of the professors in this school are really good, other's ehhh are decent i guess....im currently studyin for step 1. If i could go bak in time, i would bring the kaplan books for step 1 or atleast the first aid with me and start studyin from there when i started as MD 1.
this school just serves as a bus to get u thru the first half of med school....the school really doesnt care about how u do in their classes....but if ur dedicated then u should be fine.
