hello everybody,
can any of the students studying at IAU give me recent updates about the school.
how's everthing going at the school? are you all satisfied with the level of education being imparted at the medical school?

the school has been placing bids for larger buildings to make room for expansion and secured another clinical site in baton rouge. the school is hard, the teaching is good, but the way we are expected to self-teach each other, with reinforcement by teachers, helps us the most. the school has grown to over 30 students total currently, with about a dozen who took boards (all passed) and now placed in clinicals. you are also welcome to call the school and request to talk to students about their experience.

yes, it is true the majority of the students are Indians from America, born and raised. and obviously, most did not do well in some aspect of schooling and are now here, like most carribean medical school. the island life is boring, but it is only 16 months, and those who have kept their act together and passed, have passed usmle and most are doing clinicals in chicago. i believe baton rouge and some rotations are availible in NY, but it is better to contact the school, medical board of the state you're interested in, and contracted hospitals for conformation.
