Just a reminder to folks to be careful and always lock up and not leave valuables in plain sight if it can be avoided.

I don't know if anything might have been mentioned in class today (as it's yet another day I didn't go) but I was waiting to meet with someone yesterday outside of Dr. L's office in the admin building and the secretary received a phone call from a student who'd apparently come back from their hospital rotation to find their place broken into.

I don't have any details as I only eavesdropped on one side of the conversation but I do know it was somewhere in Indian Bay and that when the secretary asked the person if they'd lost a lot of stuff her response was a sharp intake of breath meaning that the response wasn't good.

As long as the Caribbean sea is blue there will be break-ins in St. Vincent. Lock your doors, close your windows, and pretend the burglar bars aren't there. It also helps if your landlord is the ex-police chief or an ex-drug dealer who lives at a dead-end with a nice view of the atlantic ocean. Luckily, as far as i know no one has ever been assaulted. Oh, and the thieves know that everyone keeps their EC in that travel organizer. Maybe thats why the school has been giving out lunch bags.
