Dear Accepted Int'l students:

January is right around the corner and you will need to start your preparations for heading off to Grenada. Our International enrollment has been on the increase for each incoming class with students from all over the world bringing with them their own culture, language, experiences and expectations.

We have found it helpful in the past that our incoming (or current) International students get into contact with one another who are coming from the same region to create a network of friendships while adjusting to the new college environment.

If you wish to get into contact with other incoming International students from your country, please email me at Ralbertelli@sgu.edu so I can start a list of contacts. I am looking forward to your responses.

Regards,
***** Albertelli

Exactly what group of students are being referred to as "International Students"? If SGU is a Carribean school and we're all from different parts of the world, aren't we all International Students? Maybe a better term will be Non-US Citizens???????????

How many US citizens are there compared to Canadian at SGU? Anyone got numbers?

Medical Sciences Student Statisitcs - School of Medicine - St. George’s University (http://www.sgu.edu/website/sguwebsite.nsf/som/student-statistics-MedicalSciences.html#StudentBodyMed)

Based on the whole student body count... 73% of the students are US citizens and out of the 27% Non-US citizens, 37% are Canadian. So overall, about 10% of the total student body are CDN.

These figures prolly will be different now but you get the general idea.

if your from the uk, just realise that your viewed as a foreign medical graduate so you must sit the plab and are not guaranteed a job in the uk, especially in the current climate.
