Hi, I was interested in attending a Ross seminar,

I was wondering how should you dress?

Are there people from admissions at the seminar?

Thanks for reading my post!

I greatly appreciate any advice anyone can offer.

Never been to a Ross seminar (been to one for another school). I just wore slacks and a shirt. If you're a girl, wear the equivalent. Not too casual, not too formal (no suits, etc). The most i'd go is a shirt and tie without a jacket. Basically, save the better stuff for the interview.

At the Ross information seminar everybody was dressed very professionally. This was not the case at other information sessions.

Yes, the sessions are run by the admissions departments, but admin, alumni, and many others will be there too.

Wear jeans and a t-shirt, like I did. No one there will give a damn what you're wearing.

I remember I went to one and during the Q&A session asked the presenter "are all of Ross's clinical rotations ACGME rotations?" which was a very valid question. The loser skirted the question by answering "all of our rotations are at teaching hospitals." Thought I was talking to Bill Clinton.

I attended 6 of the info seminars, begining 2 yrs before my kid attended Ross.
I'd say the majority of attendees wore professional/bussiness attire. I found the current students and alumni most informative......the admissions personell were well versed and informative but redundancy set-in after the 2nd one.....I learned something new at each program from the current students and alumni that was helpful to me in supporting my kid's decision to attend Ross as well as understanding what was going on during the 16 month stay on Dominica.

When I attended, all faculty and alumni wore a suit. I wore business casual, which was more than what other attendees wore but no where near standing out.

I would say just don't be caught underdressed and you'll be fine.
