a med student learns that by taking ciprofloxacin he can increase the effects of caffein in coffea by alot (ops forgot the #)times.
Now he plans to do that to study for step 1
Is this a good idea or a bad idea?
Why?

Caffeine is a diuretic, therefore anything that increases the effects of caffeine will increase the number of times one would have to empty the bladder. Not a good thing to have happen during the USMLE:shock:

is it just the diuretic issue or is there more to it? does the p450 system have anything to do with it? can someone answer my question please...thanks.
