how much in advance should i register for step1
i am IMG willing 2 take step1 in non US center

u r actually late ,if u plan to giv it in 2006,coz Aug 31st was the deadline.
if u plan to giv it in 2007.application material is out on the official website.
USMLE (http://www.usmle.org) .it is a time consuming process,ur online application+identification form should reach the ECFMG 1 month before ur eligibility period starts.
so irecommend u start ur application procedure 3-4 months prior to the slot(eligibility period ) u selected.
