Did you take the requisite classes, or the MCAT?

Your GPA is OK. I think your medical experience will definitely help you. I know medical schools in general like to see people who have experience in medical research, nursing, EMT services, and technicians and whatnot. I think that will definitely make up for any issues they might have with your GPA. I think you'd probably need to submit MCAT scores though. I think you definitely have a fair shot!
Good luck :)

maybe. it would definitely strengthen your chances if you took your mcat. i'm assuming that was a 'yes' on the you completed requisite courses.

no. actually i have about two courses to meet the min reqirements. sucks though. cause i'm working two jobs and all. just wanted to know if i had a realistic chance at getting into susom. guess i'll try university of the west of the indies or spartan or some other school.

May I ask...to what extent have you taken science classes? The reason being that you don't have a bachelor's degree, you haven't fulfilled the prereqs (which is only 8 classes or so), and you haven't taken the MCAT. Anybody could argue that you don't have a full range of experience in school and/or examinations...which then makes admissions wonder if you could handle 1) medical school coursework/courseload and 2) boards.
See what we're getting at? You'll need to convince them that you know what you're getting yourself into and then that you have what it takes to get through.
Also, you mentioned that you did some med school in China. Be ready to explain that too, and perhaps to your advantage...it could resolve many of the concerns I just mentioned.
