As far as my husband understands, 5th semester will not be moved. It would take too many changes to the curriculum and may jeapordize the success of the current students.

It seems it is too impossible to implement. The rumours here about 5th semester in the US have been quashed.

(And as an aside note, this rumour comes up every few semesters.)

what hospital in boston would take carib students? baltimore maybe, not boston, too many prestigous medical centers. Not to mention the states would have to approve preclinical training. Thats why miami is the only 5th semester any school has.

Yeah, Boston??? Sounds too good to be true.

even baltimore or Miami would be great.
I just don't understand why they don't have an answer on this.
I mean the school initiated the subject during their meeting with the students! It wasn't a rumor created by students.

Salutations "taki":

Saba will NOT be moving 5th semester to Miami, Boston, Baltimore, or any other city in the U.S. To quote the current dean, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." And Saba's curriculum is not "broke" at the moment so there are no plans to move 5th semester.

I know many students are anxious to move to the states for 5th semester but realistically, it will simply by another 4 month (tops) on Saba. If it happens, that's good but if it doesn't, it'll still be okay. Ciao.
