I was just wondering if CAHSU is approved by the state of california, and if not how many states it is approved in.

Thanks

Most Mexican Schools also have approval from the state of California. It is best to ask the medical board from the state of California directly.

the best thing to do is pick 5 or 10 states you are most likely to go practice in, call the state boards themselves, and they'll tell you. there is a link for the state medical boards' phone numbers all listed here on valuemd.com
i've already talked to many of the state boards, and they look good, except of course CA.... NM & KA are trouble... TX may be trouble in the future. PA? most the states out in the west look good, which is where i'll be practicing one day (OR, WA, UT, CO).

The name of the California state approved schools web page has
changed.

http://www.medbd.ca.gov/Applicant_Schools_Recognized.htm

The following Czech schools are listed on the California state approval
web page. I am not able to easily correlate the different faculties to
the different titles on the California approval list. Hopefully Nielc will
clarify which faculty matches which school title on the list.

Czech Republic

* Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pediatric Medicine
* Charles University Faculty of Medicine (including English program)
* Komensky University Faculty of Medicine at Bratislava
* Charles University Faculty of Medicine at Plezen
* Palacky University Faculty of Medicine
* P. J. Safarika University Faculty of Medicine
* University J. E. Purkyne-Masaryk University Brno
* Komensky University Faculty of Medicine at Martin
* Charles University Faculty of Medicine and Hygiene

There are also documents explaining the approval of Saba in 2004
and retroactive for students that matriculated on or after Jan, 01
of 2002. The faculty has not changed much since 2002. (page 9)

There is another document explaining the disapproval of St Matthews.
It seems probable that St Matthews will gain approval in the
future. One of the problems was the lack of auditing of the clinical
sites such as a hospital in Chicago. I advise you to read the document
before making comments.

Note that for English language programs in Central/Eastern Europe, if the designation "including English Program" is not appended; the English language program of that university is not approved, though the native language one is.
