I know this has been asked at some point. Does anyone know which states actually prefer or require "greenbook" rotations?

Thanks for anyone that has done this research.

I know TX requires greenbook rotations in order to be licensed. Other than that, no clue!

Yeah I am from Nashville and the word from the board is that they are using the Cali list as a guide but not as a rule. Whatever that means. SOunds like some fancy political move to me just to make thigns more difficult. Funny thing about TN though. Ther is a guy that they won't award a lic to that grad from a med school in nigeria, which his school is on the Cali list, but they let him perform surgery everyday at one of the best hospitals in Nashville but of course he doesn't get the pay that he would as a lic physician. As a matter of fact he was one of the clinical intructors is surg at the medical school he grad from. I have met this guy seen him work personally and all of the docs that I have talked with that know him have nothing to say but that he is one of the best surgeons they have ever seen. So it looks like TN is trying to play the politic game. We will use the Cali thign as an excuse to boot you. If we want to lic you then we won't. At least that's is my take on the situation.

Oh yeah by the way what is Mich take on greenbook? Also, I was wondering to be a greenbook hospital, does that mean that you have to take foreign students or can any rotation doen were the is a ACGME residency in that specialty count. I know that some states just want a Family Practice residency to be there to count.
