Hello all. I plan to apply to some med schools in the Caribbean (AUC, SGU, Ross) and some in Europe. I just have a problem.
I have only one misdemeanor for misconduct on my tail. It was only one time and I did not get booked or arrested or issued a ticket. However, I am worried about how it will affect my admission or entrance into the universities. Any advise or past experiences that got people by?
I know the reputation of the universities so I'm concerned about being considered. I seriously don't want to be considered as a criminal :( but the milk is spilled already. I was immature, stupid, and irresponsible back then Otherwise, I don't have anything on my record. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

So what is your point??? - I got accepted into two medical schools

By the way - I like fast cars.... I have several of them ..so I guess I am a hardened criminal then.....So does my 89 year old mother - she got a ticket for doing 82 mph a year or so ago. What does that have to do with Who you are now? Relax go to an Island school ....

My point is - that is not a show stopper. Hopefully you had a good laugh

Dear James:

What did you put on your application when it asked from convicted or not. WHat was your entire procedure? What about immigration forms?

Humm let me see - was there a jury trial? Not arrested = Non event. Many resort towns give infractions for misconduct during spring break if you look a somebody the wrong way. You most likely paid the fine and left. I am concerned that you worry about the reputation of the "universities". If you got into a US University - they were not concerned with your adventure.

US Universities often cover up sex crimes and other stuff so their school appears like a good wholesome places where Mom's and Dad's can send their children and be at peace not worrying about crime. To me this is aiding the criminals who do these crimes.

These are island schools. On islands that are third world countries - ie poor - some of the islands are not that safe. Read on the forums about issues on St Martin, Grenada, St Vinny, Domenica, Nevis and Antigua.

The show stoppers for a MD program are drug arrests, DUI, and major felonies.
