i remember there was a previous post where someone emailed a lot of different state boards to find out if a certain school was accredited or not, I wanted to know if anyone had done this for Windsor University?

it's probably a waste of time. only a fraction of those state med boards would even reply.

just to sum up, you will find CA, TX, KS, VT, TN impossible
you will find CO, IN, PA (unless everything is greenbook, same w/ TX), very challenging.

besides, why email anyone, most likely you will hear back from some secretary who doesn't know anything. and even if you do happen to get completely correct and accurate info, it might change in a matter of months.

Also need to keep in mind that you are not seeking licensure now. You will be seeking licensure in 5 to 7 years if you are just starting medical school. Things change. TN and NV were "easy" last year. They changed this year and went with CA list. Many offshore folks were caught off guard. So, an "OK" now probably doesn't mean a whole lot as IMG licensures are getting tougher every year. True, no offshore schools are 100% secure, but it stands to reason that you need to pick ones that have the most external approval... and go to one approved by California if possible.

we should not try to make things rosy ,I believe anyone now goes to California unlisted school is simply wasting time, may or may not make it,its like going to las Vegas you might win or lose.
I am carribean grad but if I have the choice I will not take any unapproved carribean gard for residencies now simply because they did not apply [schools]or they failed inspection,do you blame me or blame any residency director???????
its only handfull of unapproved schools worldwide,if you go to unapproved school you will pay very harsh price even if you become nobel prize winner and an official from state board comes here and tells you you are 2.5 premed GPA and stupid[forgive my lanaguage but its said here before]and spread rumors how unqualified such grads are with clear discriminatory attacks ,so my opinion is to stick with California approved schools because the laws now on their side but eventually they will pay someday.
