So i need some advice....i'm gonna be entering my third year in a health sci program but...my gpa really sucks right now. It's around 2.86-3.23...and i kno that canadian med schools are really competitive and you need at least a 3.6 to get in anywhere. But...ive done a lot of extra ciric stuff...like last year i travelled with an ngo to an under developed country to help out. And of course i'm part of some other things like academic/social clubs. I'm also writing my mcat this summer..and hopefully i'll score around a 30  ...do you guys think i have shot at a canadian med school?

I got to be honest with you- EC can only take you so far!!!! Get ahead of your studies! You have to do well in college and aim for a higher MCAT. Work harder then other people and you will be fine!

Do what you have to to finish your last classes with all A's. Also spent tons of time in good MCAT review books (meaning not Kaplan) I found Barron's to be the best for me. Take as many practice tests and review what you need to review for the MCAT test. Get tudors abnd help for your meaning classes so you get A's. Admissions looks at your last two years more than your first two. Get great LOR's - IF that all fails then welcome to the islands...just me .02s.
