Windows XP Home or Pro?

Currently I have Windows XP Home on my laptop but I heard that with Windows XP Pro, you are able to connect to printers that are on the windows network. Is this true? I want to be able to print documents directly from my laptop using the printers on campus. Thanks

You can't do that anyway (not yet at least; don't know if there will ever be plans for it).

Home will be fine. Or Media Center Edition if anyone's curious about that.

Usually to print you'll use your flash drive/usb key and put it on the school's computer first.

As mentioned above, Home is MORE than adequate for the typical day to day needs of a medical student.
