View Full Version : Good GPA, No MCAT
I have been a professional working for 5 years. My undergrad GPA was 3.2 and a 3.6 GPA from chiro school. I really would like to attend AUC for Jan 2005 and would like to know if I would have a good chance of being accepted without ever taking the MCAT.

The top 3 schools : St. Georges, Ross & AUC all require the MCAT. If you must go to one of these schools, then hit the books and just do the test. You have an excellent GPA, an average MCAT score will most likely suffice.
If you really don't want to do the MCAT, then the next best school doesn't require it is SABA. Although I did the MCAT (28), I decided to go to SABA anyways. There are plenty of threads describing the choice AUC vs SABA.
Good Luck!

Well, I'm on the same boat as KDog... been out of chiropractic school for almost 5 years. I am working as a clinic dirctor at a pain management clinic. I have a decent GPA (3.4) but horrible MCAT (19R) -- I took the test cold! Anyway, what do you think my chances are?

Apply to Ross U. for May start. They currently don't require the Mcat. But starting sept 2004 they will.

To Hotfromatl,
3.4 + Chiropractor + MCAT 19, you should be able to get in to one of the
top 3. Plus SABA is nothing to be ashamed of.
I would apply to all 4 schools for May. Regardless of their policy on the MCAT. The May class is always half empty, it's the easiest time to get in.
I've been following thread here for 1 year now and I predict you have a 99% chance you'll be admitted to at least 1 school for May. Get your stuff sent out in the next two weeks, it's a drag to fill out, but worth it!
The most you can lose is $200, but 99% sais you'll be an M.D. in 40 months.
Good Luck!

I applied to St. George's and got a kick in the butt. They told me to retake MCAT in April and apply for August 2004. Well, so I started studying as of yesterday--it's not going well. My second choice was AUC and I sent my application two days ago. Hopefully, I'll get some good news soon. I got into SABA but that's my last resort. I just don't want to go to Ross.
