Anybody Getting Their Aug 06 Waitlist Ranking?

Hey All,
I'm not phishing for specifics, but instead I am just curious if anyone has actually been given their waitlist ranking. Though it may be obvious from this post, I haven't. . . .

I was originally told that I "wasnt in the top 20" on the list and to call back in 2 wks. They told me today that the list has barely moved since then and to count on January but I am more than welcome to call every 2 weeks and check. They should be able to give you a good idea of your chances. PM me and I can give you a great contact of someone you can bug all summer.

My position on the waiting list was included with my acceptance materials.

do they make it to the waitlist!? does anyone know what is a good place to be on the waitlist to have a real chance for Fall '06 class ( top 5, top 10, top 20)

not trying to bash dreams and hopes here, but more being a realist for you guys. I was #2 for this last jan., in fact I even got an official paper stating i was #2 on that waitlist... and here I am, about to enter the August 06 class.

However!... if you think about it, the August waitlist will have a higher tendency to move because of the overlap with US med schools. By that I mean, there are plenty of students who have been accepted to SGU but are also on waiting lists for US med schools (which are obviously the priority for schooling), so once they hear, they will thus turn down their SGU acceptance and the list will move. During the Jan class there is no real reason for people to drop out...
