International Money Order Question

I hope someone will be able to direct me to the correct location to obtain an International Money Order. None of the three banks I have accounts at have them available and the people at Western Union were less than helpful.

For those of you already students...HELP! Where did you purchase your International Money Orders?

I live in the New York area and many of the Immigrants wire money back to their families at the local supermarkets. I know A & P has it and I am sure many others do the same thing.

As long as you are going bank to bank, all you need is the receiving bank's numeric code. Then you can do it through your local bank to the overseas bank.

LaSalle Bank (Chicago Area)
Bank of America no longer does International Money Orders only Foriegn Travelers Checks
and
Local Credit Union (Chicago Area)

Also Dru: This is the money order I need to include with my Visa Papers for Ross, so I don't think the Bank to Bank thing will work, but thank you for your comments. :)

I got mine from the post office as well

you have to be careful with the post office though, and specify INTERNATIONAL. i just said money order and they gave me a US one, and i didnt notice, and was told here that i needed to pay them again.

Yes, in the US, you get the PINK postal money order and it is international.
