Hey guys,
I'm in the process of selecting my anatomy textbook for study. I've basically narrowed it down to the following two books:
1. Gray's anatomy for students.
2. Moore's clinically oriented anatomy.
I don't really know which book is better, I've heard that Moore's can become difficult to understand at times. I'm not sure whether Gray's cover enough details about what we need to know.
anyway, just wanna know which book do you guys recommend.
Thanks for the help.

Didn't your school tell you which one to buy according to how the course will be taught?
If not- I found Moore to be very good. I never used Grays so I can't tell you much about it.
Good luck
I don't have any Anatomy text book, only got HY Anatomy. I found Wikipedia is very useful for the basic Anatomy knowledge and got pictures from Gray's.
So, you may not need buy a book, just go to Wikipedia.

So, you may not need buy a book, just go to Wikipedia.nobody uses gray's anymore. use moore and netter and a photo atlast for pics in lab. and remember:the info is the same in all the books. look for that with the most appropraite level of info (the imgs biggest mistake is in not figureing that out) and that is most readable for you.

Nothing can replace Gray's (The Anatomical Basis of Clinical Practice), but that might be more than what you are looking for as a student. I would recommend Moore or Clinical Anatomy by Richard Snell. Every student also need a good and condensed review book, such as the Board Review Series Gross Anatomy.
Best anatomy atlas is Sobotta, although it not as popular as Netter, it is far more useful and accurate. A picture atlas is also good to have for the labs, I used Yokochi and can strongly recommend it to others.
Pocket atlas of human anatomy: Based on the international nomenclature (published by Thieme) is also a usefull book to have one the labs...you will find everything u need in this book.
