as a rule of thumb unless you get told otherwise 1st hand
new students come prepared it is fun and tolerable most of the time just be very patient. don't trust any place with refunding deposits unless you know someone who has gotten services there. as for places don't trust your landlords with the deposit or with the distance they tell you they are from school. the only places that are 5 minuts away are university residences, cote d zur residence, cote d zure marina, blue azur (i wouldn't rent there if it was the last place here) and two complexes i can't remember. point piruette is 45 minutes away anything in simpson bay is not even in walking distance so anything else is drivng only not to mention that there are relatively few street lights walking more than 10 minutes from school.
the dorms aren't mandatory specialy if you are married or have ANY pets. they are really nice but are $1000 per month and you will run out of money....my advice would be to get a roommate and share the costs, i'm actually looking for one now that i know how expensive it is here. also you need to save money for a review course at the end and keep in mind that you don't get loans until youstart rotations so you will be out of money for two months minimum. good luck.
anyone who needs a roommate or more info PM me.
