Hey guys,
I need first semester books and other books for USMLE. I am coming down in Dominica on August 21st. Is it better to wait and buy books from there or buy it now online and bring it to the campus?
Thank you much

I bought some of my books used from other students and the rest I bought used on half.com. I ended up spending about $400 for everything I needed, a lot better than buying everything directly from the Ross bookstore, which would have been about 3 times the amount.

nah dude...you got it all wrong...buy ur books at ross from upper sem. students. I did this for every single semester and probably didn't spend over 100 US b/c i sold them too!
trust me...everyone sells their books!..and if you can't find it...the library always has a good supply of every book you can think of...
hope this helps...
BTW..I just left the island for 5th sem in maimi!
GOOD LUCK on the island! YOu got nothing to do there but study!

there are always ppl selling books, just wait and be patient..chekc them out from the library..there are posting right outside the libarary of ppl selling books...
Also, don't buy books unles you have thumbed through them ...probably even used it to study couple hours to see how you like it...there are tons of books for a single subject, just gotta find what works. Personally...ALL the BRS are very high yield and highly recommened...Lange books are high yeild and + thoroughly explained and supported. Its really what you want.
But my advice: USE NOTES 1st!!!! then supplement w/ whatever text to further support and enhance the notes given by lectures!
Good luck!
