I am thinking about transfering into 3rd semester, would this be possible or would I have to start over?

Its too late...you should have just started out at Ross.

They only accept credits from schools that are listed in the ECFMG IMED listing or LCME accredited. I know of students who transfered from San Juan Bautista SOM from Puerto Rico (after the LCME revoked the accreditation) and were not given credit for their course work. You could always try calling the school to verify what is the school's policy.

yo marky mark. Yeah they accept credits from St Chris. My boy from ST Chris just transferred to Ross into 5th semester and so did a bunch of other people from St Christorphers. So i can tell you 100 percents ure that they do accept credit from them.

They only take credit from that school..if you have finished all of basic sciences and have a passing score on USMLE step 1....

Shah is right... I know transfer students -- they all completed the basic sciences somewhere else and had a passing step 1 score and were THEN accepted into 5th. Good luck.

I assume that by taking students from any Medical school into 5th semester that have passed their USMLE 1 ROSS can use these students in their calculations for USMLE 1 passing rate percentages?

That's a very smart thing Ross does...and I do believe they add to the class statistics...i.e. USMLE first time pass rate.

this also is not true. My friend who transferred from St Christophers DID finish his basic sciences. BUT he has NOT taken step 1 yet. so i know that it is definately possible to transfer into ross without taken your step 1. Also, I personally transferred into 3rd semester so i don tthink theres anything written in stone that you have to have completed all yoru sciences and taken step 1.

be careful- some states may not accept your st chris credits. so its feasible that you could graduate with a ross/saba degree with the the ability to practice in some states.

5th semester graduate Stchris students who transfer into Ross Miami 5th semester without first passing their Step 1 is not a good idea. They won't have time to study for the NBME that Ross requires. Ross won't let them take step 1 if they fail Ross' NBME. Ross Miami 5th semester has a very busy schedule.
Many Ross' 4th semester students withdrew from Ross after they finished their 4th semester to study for Step 1. Then, they reapply to Ross for 5th semester. Very smart move.
