Good info - good post - Think he posted it because It could happen to any island school. It couldn't happen to any island school because most of the schools dont apply. They don't bother spending the money and time to get approved since they already have know they don't really have a chance of getting it. The decision, which is over a year old, does say that SMU shows promise for a young school and a repeat evaluation should be made in the future. But I guess to the original poster its worse to be dissaproved than never try at all.

I have the review report of Ross University by the CA.. I just don't know how Ross was approved. The teaching hospitals that were reviewed were non teaching Hospitals. One of them was the Hosp. in Rosseau, and a non teaching Hospital in Chicago. I don't know if Ross mislead them or they just wanted the school to pass. There is a lot of crazy things out there.

you lived your life fine for the past 10 years without having the urge to go on a blitz. you moved on once......... do it again...... it should be easier this time.
look, i feel for you man....... if you really want to become a doc, maybe you should try another school from scratch. you would be a doc in 4 years. thats a third of the time that you spent living your life while moving one from the incident.

i thought that you were satified with your academic work post ross?
if not, then im sorry and i was mistaken. in any case, i think you would have luck transfering into clinicals at one of the lesser known carib schools such as smu, mua nevis, smu. if you accomplish this, you could be a doc in under two years.
if you hit a roadblock and are having a tough time getting over it, go around it even if it takes you a little longer.

Ross was approved for licensure because it meets all the criteria set by the California Medical Board.
An example of recent site visit reports are below:

Ross was approved a long time ago, like many other international schools.
