Hi,
I was wondering if anyone attending SABA can tell me a little bit about their experience in terms of facilities available, education and time on island. Also for clinical rotations how do people find they are? I wanted to also know is SABA licensed in all 50 states and can one practice as a physician in all 50 states?
How long is one on the island for 2 years or 16 months?
Also is ROSS better or is SABA better?
Any help would be great.

This info can be found all over this entire board. There are pros and cons to each.

You shouldn't be asking on this forum which school is better - you'll just get a lot of conflicting opinions. I personally just completed a 6 week rotation during which I worked with 17 Ross students - I wouldn't say there was much of a difference between us Sabanites and the Ross students. Except I think they had bigger classes, liked their island less (just from what they told me) and have a lot of hoops to jump through - more than us, believe it or not. However Saba is a smaller island with a newer reputation and a lot of us move around a bit whereas the Ross students tend to stay in NYC (which is a positive or a minus depending on how you look at it).

Spend some time reading this forum and the Ross forum then form your own opinion. You won't find what you need to know by posting in one thread. There are a lot of things to factor in.

Best of luck,
~S

Not sure about jumping the hoops part....not if you want to practice in TX.

I was referring to all of the paperwork and such they have to go through specifically for the school, not for state licensure. Sorry, I should have been more specific.

The ones I was working with had a lot of forms they had to fill out by a certain time and turn in, etc.

Okay, gotta run! Best of luck,
