Congrats!

Just wondering, were you applying for just for January, or did you apply for September as well? The reason I ask is because I am applying for September and I hope that there are still spaces available. My interview is next week. Hopefully things will go as well for me as they did for you!

victronics - your preferences were exactly the same as mine. I also am in for Jan. 07 and really glad because I have to raise my credit score in a hurry to get the finances taken care of.

If I am unable to get loans do you know if Saba will let me defer until may 07?? I hope I can rectify the problem soon but this is worst case scenario.

bhs2a- I had a similar problem, and was able to defer from May 06 to Sept. All that was required was that I write a letter outlining why the deferal was needed. Gardner advised the choice is based on GPA and how full the class you are requesting is. The letter you get back indicates that if you are unable to honour the new start date, then you must reapply. Hope this helps.

i dont think it should be a problem if you give a convincing reason, you may need to wait for at least 2 months to the start of the semester before you do this, or better still chek with administration.

hey! i received a conditional acceptance from saba for jan 07, provided 'successful completion of winter term courses'. How likely is Saba to reject students after a conditional acceptance? My final marks for the winter term should be ok- mid seventies to mid eighties. My only worry is biochemistry, which I'm not doing well in at all. Would Saba reject me based on my biochem mark alone?

i've never heard of anyone getting their conditional acceptance revoked due to low grades. from what i've heard, "just passing" is sufficient if you've been accepted already. but then again, it's not a great idea to barely pass or whatever before starting on saba. but mid-seventies to mid eighties doesn't sound too bad to me, so i wouldn't worry about it too much. good luck.

hey jenlee, what pre-req courses are you missing? b/c i was looking to apply for may 07 but i was still missing some pre-reqs.

do you mind posting your stats..i just want to see if they give a conditional acceptance based on students stats...

thanks!

hey jaypes, I'm just finishing up english, that's the only prerequisite i need for saba, i believe. my average is a mid B - B+, and I took the MCAT but did poorly- my score was in the twenties and my essay mark was a Q. During the interview, a lot of emphasis was based on my marks since first year really screwed me over0 (orgo  ). The interviewer said he was very interested in seeing my final marks for my final year, and he also wants to compare my final marks with the class average.

I too was just accepted to Saba for the January 2007 term. 22/M/CT. Maybe I will see you there. I am still waiting to hear back from Ross. Not sure which school to pick. Congrats again to you!
