you are in your OB/GYN rotation, and need to do a APGAR score; When the baby arrives... The color is pink except for the extremities that are slightly cyanotic, HR is 135, baby grimaces and coughs, the respiratory is somewhat irregular, and the baby is active; what is APGAR score?

8, why? APGAR score: 10 is a perfect score, and is based Appearance, Pulse, Grimace, Activity, and Respiration.. score for each ranges from 0-2; baby lost 1 point with the extremities being cyanotic (blue), and irregular breathing... giving a score of 8.

Actually that is a good question, why apgar is consider Behavior science?

I think that in the first aid they have the apgar score in the behavioral science part, but maybe the new edition change it. But I just dont know why is consider behavioral science.
