wow. this one says

"The GMC does not register graduates who have been awarded medical qualifications in such circumstances"

referring to schools that have a curricula that is "substantially or wholly in the UK" by an "overseas university"

if this is the final ruling would this be an end to squatter schools? this is bad news

This should be it...only a fool would go to a school in a country where it can't license or am I wrong? Dean

I think you are correct. Now we get to split hairs. SC is Chartered in Sengal. It is physically located in the UK. So, if they can still be licensed in Sengal, are they stuill OK with the ECFMG? G

G Doc, I bet you a glass of merlot that we will see a post shortly from students saying "I am going to Luton next semester. Who else is going?"......

The SC threads will be buried in a few months. Eager students will be thrilled at the chance to attend med school in the UK....

Yeah, the cycle will start again. As things stand, everything is STILL in limbo, since there are no hard rulings in the US. Things with the ECFMG are just on hold, and as with any government agency, can remain that way for months/years. G

My guess is that they are saying, "don't worry, this will all be cleared up in a few weeks"

:D:D Well, other than millions in debt, I assume it will clear up as students do other things and get out of this mess.
