Have they been renovated, or are they very old? Are there single rooms available there? What types of students usually choose Grand Anse over the closer dormd directly on campus?

Well the offical word is that Grand Anse is going to be closed after the fall semester (like there is such a thing as fall in grendada) but the buildings are old and one of them is missing the 3rd floor...
I don't know anyone who would willingly choose GA over TB but then again there are crazies out there

Most of the rooms in Grand anse are old and kinda moldy, especially one with carpets. But the rooms are huge and have a balcony. The 3rd floor of building two that was blown away by ivan, was rebuilt, and the rooms up there are sweet. I really liked living over in grand anse, it would sucked if they closed it down. I would reccommend it over the cells on campus.

Well it is "Official" coming out of the Chancellors mouth when he sat down and talked with the SGA a few weeks ago. Its on the Angel SGA site.
And isn't the building closest to the beach still missing the 3rd floor?
How would one get a single room at SGU? Off campus? Dorms? Is it really that much more expensive?
Thanks for any input

As an entering new student, you can't - you will be in a "New Dorm/Superdorm" double. In Terms 2-6, you can vy for a single in the Housing lottery for on-campus, or get a single off-campus. Yes, it is more expensive. Recent prices are here: http://www.valuemd.com/201098-post47.html

Wow, they've been talking about closing down Grand Anse dorms ever since I was a student almost a decade ago. Time flies. I actually enjoyed staying at Grand Anse. As for the ladies -- wihtout them, I would have starved...
