that would be 9-15 people per class. i know that there is more than that. i doubt that counts the people who show up and then decide thats not for them. i would think its closer to 7-10%.

attrition is leaving altogether- while many decel, i don't think more than 15 people just leave and don't come back.

i was counting those that start and then ultimately get there MD degree from SGU. It is well more than 15 out of a class of 300+. 1-2% transfer, i would guess 2-3% start and dont finish, and we have a pass rate of around aroud 93% on Step I and even lower on Step II.
I wish we did have a real number from the school.

I would be more worried about nutrition than attrition at SGU.

I guess I should have been more specific!.
between 3-5% for academic reasons!. Is that better?

Entering the Alternate Program doesn't constitute as Attrition.

I'd say Goose's estimate is about right. 3-5% can't hack the medical education, even with the Decel program or they just decide it isn't for them.

You've got class attrition that does include people who do not advance at the same rate as their classmates. The AP is built-in attrition for the class, even if you start out in it.
Program attrition would only count those who quit or fail out.

The Original Question was "What is the attrition rate at SGU".
as such, I was giving my figures as the attrition rate at SGU, not the attrition rate of the FALL CLASS of SGU!.
hope this makes my replies as 'clear as mud'.
