Hello everyone,
just wondering if there is other schools/programs that offer a combined
MD/PhD or MD/MSc.....Im in the process of completing my masters degree now and I would love to carry the research aspect over to medicine....
I know that SGU has several and SMU has the MD/MSc....any others?

try US schools. I don't think any of the big 3 offer md/phd. the best they can offer is md/mph but the mph would not be recognized by the united states. I don't know anyone who is doing research at sgu or anyother caribbean medical school for that matter.

SGU does do some research, but it is limited. It does have stand alone MSc programs and MD/MSc. I'm not for sure about the MD/Phd. Best to email the dean of graduate studies if you have questions. I did MSc in Microbiology. PM if you have specific questions.

You could do a MPH at Brooklyn College while taking completing your clinical rotations. I am currently enrolled in a MPH program there. There are numerous research opportunities there also. There is also a program at Columbia University for a DPH. Just a thought.

SGU does offer a dual degree MD/PhD in anatomy. Not sure why you would do this unless you were a Caribbean student wanting to practice in the Caribbean, or if you really wanted to be a professor, but then why get the MD? Either way, it does exist here.
