I was told that I would be notified by the end of this week about my dorm assignment. Has anyone been assigned to a dorm yet? The suspense is too much for me. :D

contact Laura at housing@saba.edu for your room assignment and dorm listing, or at least that what it says in the letter I got from Saba reminding about police clearance, ect. Although Laura did tell me that official housing assignments would be sent in the mail around early April.


I did contact Laura awhile back and she tentatively told me I had the Hillside dorms, yet she didn't tell me room number. I think I'll wait another week for the official assingment to come in the mail before I email her again.

I called Saba and they told me that the assignment would be completed beginning on this week. So, I am assuming Monday most of the dorms should be assigned.

(DAMN countdown in about 2 weeks...craziness....we will officially be medical students...something I have looked forward to for so long)

Laura emailed my housing assignment to me today. Looks like I'll be in Hillside quad 1. I also got the name of my mentor and the other three girls who are in my quad. This also means that I sent a cheesy email to all three girls introducing myself and letting them know what I was bringing for the kitchen. Hey, it's always good to be cheesy, right? :)


anyone else know where they staying? would be nice to meet with y'all. we might need to wear our VMD screennames, ha ha ha. though if you see a short Indian chick roaming around hillside, it's probably me!

I just found out that I am in Hillside and I am happy. I have a single in the Hillside dorm quad#3...yes!! I believe Hillside is closer to campus, as well. :razz:

While neither dorm is 'far away', Matthews is not only closer, Hillside is about 500 vertical feet ABOVE the campus so there's quite a hike to it. Say hi! to the goats, and welcome!

Hillside is newer, 4 bed/baths share a common area with a kitchen (forming a quad), has a laundry room.

Matthews is the original dorm, is across the street from the campus, has 18 or so rooms each of which has a bathroom, 2 large walk-in closets, and a bathroom. You can rent an entire room for one person. No kitchen but the room has a refrigerator and microwave.

And anyone else in Quad 3. i was in that quad last semester. Seemed to be the place to hang out for that semester at that dorm. There shouldn't be any problem since the cleaning lady where there the day i left the island. haha.

Also, those staying at mathews dorm: its really not bad, seems like that dorm builds more of a relationship than hillside. Plus, the common area there is nice to have gatherings!

Everyone have a safe trip and try to relax a bit.
