Did anyone interview at the Edison, NJ office? I have an interview there in a few weeks and would like to hear how any of your interviews went.

i interviewed there in march. They ask standard questions, and make you watch a video. Do a search, they should all be there.
Why medicine, why Ross, HOw did you study for MCAT, what specialty of medicine, research and application questions...
good luck

I interviewed there in Feb and its pretty much common questions...You'll watch a video about Ross then ask questions...I think you should try and ask as many questions as you can, it will definetly show them that you are really interested in their school...after that you get a one on one interview...try to be polite, make direct eye contact, have confidence and start away...my interview was pretty laid back, it was all about my clinical experinces, research and my travel experinces...but be prepared to answer why ross, why medicine, how would your best friend describe you...what are qualities every physician should have...but it's a really laid back interview, i really felt like I was talking to a normal friend because my interviewer was just AWESOME...
Good luck

Thanks for the advise. Do you know if it's near any train stations? I live in NYC and don't have a car. I was thinking somewhere near a NJTransit stop??

I think its next to a train station... or at least, you cross over some tracks, just before the building

Personally, I would try to have a friend or relative drive me, or even rent a car for the day. Once again, just me, but I would not want to rely on public transportation to get me there on time.
It is a laid back interview, but do not dismiss it. It is still very important. I would not want to add more stress by adding public trans. into the equation.

Having said that, if the train station is very close to the building, just leave early. :)

You can also call the NJ Ross office and they can tell you what trains to take from where you're at. Since public transport is very reliable where you live, it is a good option. When I was in town, I took the NE Corridor Train (RedLine). I took this particular train from Newark Penn Station, but I think that you can take it from NY Penn Station as well, but check into this first as I did not depart from NY Penn. When you get your ticket and are ready to board, just be sure to get on the correct train and not one that is bound for another State (these are the Amtrak trains if I recall correctly, don't get on them). Ask the conductors before boarding if the train is headed to where you are going. The name of the stop where you'd get off at is "Metro Park" train station. It is just diagonally across the street from the Ross Univ offices (tall building). Also, get a round trip ticket back cause it's a pain waiting in line to get another ticket going back. The Metro Park Station is small and the lines can get very long during rush hours. Good luck on the interview.
