I still have to buy my first semester books but I wanted to know if most people are buying their books from Bookstores International using the order form or are going to have their books shipped down there. Also, I know that you can buy books from students when you get down there but I dont want to be without a book or have to wait to have one shipped. The 6th semester student that gave me a tour said he shipped a barrell down to Dominica first that contained his books but that seems like a really expensive way to go. Just wanted some advice on books and shipping stuff. Thanks!

Should I wait to buy books until I get down there? Will there be plenty or is it worth the money to just spend it now and have all the books ready when I get to orientation?

i called the dude in student services at the jersey office and he made it seem like i'd be chancing if it i tried to get my books from the rock
DONT buy the books on teh list. I talked to a ton of 5th semesters, and a few ppl on the island right now. They all said dont buy the books. The handouts are more than enough. And if you want, you CAN buy the books on the island or use the ones in the library.

I don't know how true this is, it sounded kind of odd to me when I read this in a previous thread....but "people" said that they don't sell books in the bookstore. I know it sounds silly, I laughed when I first read it too...but, are the people that are posting that you can get your books later at the bookstore speaking from 1st hand knowledge, AKA current Ross students in Dominca right now, or from common sense or heresay.:)
