Remember that prolactin will inhibit the release of GnRH and as conclucion you will not have OVULATION

Allways remember that if you have a baby and you are breatfiding you DONT want another baby

Exactly. High levels of prolactin inhibit the pulsatile release of GnRH. No GnRH, no ovulation.

Remember that as prolactin inhibit the release of the gonadotropin releaising hormone (GNRH) in women it dose the same thing on men....so what´s the effect of this inhibition on men?

Decrease in the release of GnRH cause a decrease of FSH acting on Sertoli cells wich normally maintains spermatogenesis, the net effect is a inhibition of spermatogenesis

And what medication can you give to a patient with hyperprolactinemia that you can also use for PARKINSONS?

Bromociptine

Yes bromocriptine wich is a dopamine partial agonist acting on the tubero-infundibular dopaminergic pathway. The release of DA cause the release of PIF hypothalamus wich cause a inhibition of the release of prolactin on anterior pituitary.

Can U name another DA agonist?

Pergolide :D

This is good stuff!!!!
